We hope you all had a good Christmas break and we wish you all the best for 2012. Here are some training sessions to think about.
DWCC Nets
As per the link to the left - Winter Nets for DWCC Juniors (over 9 age groups) are now booked at West Hill School Sports Centre from 15th January for 11 weeks until 25th March from 7 till 8pm. Senior Nets will be the last 6 weeks - from 19th February 8 till 9 pm.
The price has increased significantly so junior nets will be £2.50 per head
Tameside Winter Cricket Club
This popular session for younger players returns in January 2012, with Dave Bardsley and Chris Wardle providing the coaching.
The 10 week course costs just £30 and includes a mix of skills, group coaching and small sided-games.
Sessions start at West Hill School on Saturday, January 14 from 10-11.30am.
Any coaches wishing to gain some experience can attend to 'assist only' (will need to be CRB checked), which can also count towards supported practice for a UKCC2 coaching qualification.
Girls Cricket
Tameside District Girls squad will be playing several fixtures this summer against other boroughs and are looking to expand their junior section.

DWCC Stalwarts are delighted to announce that the total for this years fundraising has reached an incredible £5000 this week. THANK YOU so much to everyone from around the league, Tameside and of course our own club, where once again everyone has been so generous.

77 years since the last title, Lancashire are County Champions - conrgatulations to Chappy and the lads, a sensational effort today. They'll enjoy going to Headingley as champs next year .... oh .... did they .... ah well .... maybe in a few years we'll play them again. |

So there we are another season all over with. The first team again secured a place in the Lancashire Knockout and the second team came a creditable second place in the league which is brilliant considering the number of young players we have used this year. Congratulations to Woodhouses from our league who became the National Village Knockout Champions last Sunday in the final at Lords. We hope you can join us at West from noon tomorrow as the season comes to a close with the Under 17 league play off final as West host Roe Green. |

Congratulations to our under 17 team who last night became champions of their league for the 2011 season. The team has used many players across all the age groups as we only have a few actual Under 17s, most of the team are still playing for the 15s. Well done lads. |
