After a confidence-boosting display the previous day Glossop welcomed league leaders Denton West to North Road in the last eight of the Walkden Cup. On a wicket which was worlds apart from that of the previous day in both colour and texture temporary skipper Toft once again won the toss and offered the visitors first opportunity to bat.

Glossop travelled to Bury on Saturday to play Woodbank in the most recent round of fixtures in the Lees Lancashire County League. As a result of inclement weather the start of the game was delayed until 4pm, by which time the allotted overs had been reduced to 30 per side.

Bathiya will once again be offering his one to one coaching services this season. He is a level 2 coach and comes highly recommended, whether you are wanting to improve your batting or bowling skills. The cost is £7 per 1/2 hour for members, £8 per 1/2 hour for non-members and will take place on our ground at North Road. |
