Congratulations to Glossop Third XI who won the Cup on Sunday after beating their Cheetham Hill counterparts on a sunny day at North Road. |
Cheetham Hill batted first and were 90 for 1 before Alex Williamson picked up 2 quick wickets to leave the visitors at 110-3. Alex finished with 3-13 and was supported by captain David Wilde (2-11), Matt Kells (2-19), Rob Sonczak (2-28) and Tim Lamb (1-29). Cheetham Hill finished on 145ao.
Openers Chris Sonczak and Simon Megram set Glossop on their way to victory and after they’d departed for 30 and 43 respectively, Tim Rogers (42no) and Rob Sonczak (20no) completed the 8-wicket victory.
