Criag DuxburyTravelling to view Glossop's magnificent new clubhouse last Saturday, Prestwich were confronted by a wicket which looked like a road but which had already been played on twice recently and which spun prodigously, much to the enjoyment of young Derbyshire off spinner Will Hargreaves, who opened the bowling, and leg spinning Bhatiya Perera, their Sri Lankan professional.

Oliver HoltDENTON were brought to a "holt" by an express performance from Prestwich's young pace ace. Eighteen-year-old Oliver Holt ripped through the batting order to claim his best-ever figures for the first team of 6 for 29.

Prestwich Win Hulme Trophy

Hulme Trophy 2007PRESTWICH 2XI lifted an incredible 5th Hulme Trophy in six years at Denton West on Sunday to make it a cup double for the Heys Road club. Skipper Andy Bradley top scored with an unbeaten 57 in a Prestwich total of 184-8. Bradley's 5 for 1 helped dismiss Denton West for only 55 as well as earning him the man of the match award.

Skipper Ste Loz lifts the Walkden CupPRESTWICH 1XI recover from a mid-innings wobble to post a score of 202-8 before bowling Woodhouses out for 133. Peter WaltersA BREATHTAKING innings by teenager Peter Walters came to Prestwich's rescue in a remarkable one-wicket victory over rivals Roe Green. It would have taken more than jelly beans to disturb Walters' concentration at the crease as the talented youngster played an innings of exceptional maturity.
