"THE CENTENARY CHARITY GOLF DAY was a huge success, on behalf of the club I would like to thank again all those who participated. In particular Rowlinson Construction Ltd for their generous sponsorship, and all the other businesses who took part including, Premex Insight, Commercial Blinds, Vision On, ADT, Archway Builders and Robinsons of Failsworth, together with all our members. Congratulations go to David Clarke and his team on winning the event. As it was such a success we are hoping to make this an annual event, so I will be in touch in the new year with details." ....Ian Pickles - Club Chairman CENTENARY SPONSORED BIKE RIDE FROM WOODHOUSES TO SOUTHPORT AND BACK TO WOODHOUSES - the weekend was a great succes and the weather very kind to us. Everybody completed the event, many thanks and well done to all the riders for their commitment and endeavours. Also many thanks to Steve Mayall, our 'support team'. Finally - many thanks to everybody for their sponsorship - we hope to raise ~£2000 to go into our Centenary Fund. Please note that this will be taking part the weekend of 20th/21st September. This year sees the lads on their bikes from WOODHOUSES to SOUTHPORT and then back to WOODHOUSES. Ironically it is a100 miles round trip - one mile for each year ! ! ! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT - PLEASE SPONSOR A RIDER. All proceeds go into the Centenary Fund which will be used for improving facilities at the club. |
